It was all
a dream.
My love of art began in 3rd grade… drawing birds and flowers and houses.
By High School, I was painting murals on my school’s hallways.
From there, I went on to earn a BFA degree in 1992. Soon, I fulfilled my childhood dream of working as an artist at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City.
After a 5 year stint as a Graphic Artist at a Publishing company, an Ad agency, and a Creative Director at an Import company, I quit my job to stay home with my children.
Soon after that, I founded Design Studios and began painting murals. Working closely with clients in their homes eventually led to them asking for my help choosing wall colors, decor for the walls and furniture placement. One thing led to another, and I soon found myself taking on full Interior Design projects.
Now, I keep busy doing all the things I love— Painting, decorating, and just generally making life colorful & beautiful every chance I get.
